Practice Policy Once camp and practice starts up in August there is always the question of penalties for missing days. High school football goes at a faster pace then junior high. We are always adding things and preparing for our next competition. If the player needs to miss a camp/practice day for some reason it should first start with the player coming and talking to me. After that any possible consequence would be determined after seeing how quickly the player catches on when they return back to camp/practice. If the player shows in practice that they would not be prepared to play in the next competition the coaches will discuss what they might be comfortable with and then talk to the athlete. Players will not be allowed to play if their absence would not allow them to know everything necessary for the upcoming competition. Any questions about this can be asked by simply emailing me and moving on from there if necessary. Once the season gets going there is not a lot of time between games so being at practice is vitally important. We all know things come up from time-to-time that warrant being gone and this is why it always starts with a conversation between the athlete and myself. The player has committed themselves to being a part of a team and being there for the team is a very important concept to learn.
